1. How can understanding the past, help us to understand our world?
The past and its kin are the precursors to us. Without them we would not be the same in most ways. If we learn about the past, it is easier to understand us and how we function. Without knowing how we were we can't truly be who we are.
2. How did early humans use art to express their prehistoric culture?
Early humans have been greatly underestimated by modern man. The early variant of us was more advanced than previously thought and at the rate that information is surfacing, we will keep underestimating early man until we get it right. They used paintings and sculptures to express feelings, archive information, craft for religious purposes and grasp a better understanding of each other.
3. What do the artifacts tell us about the lives of early humans?
Artifacts tell us how early humans lived. They could pour their heart and soul into these carvings to express feelings. These artifacts would tell us how they conducted ceremonies, filed information and lived on a daily basis.

My life as a historian.....
Being the avid reader that i am, i would most like to spend my time searching textbooks and writing, thus, of the three social scientists, i chose the historian. The historian appeals to me most due to the fact that i'll eagerly spend lots of time reading or writing. I don't think of myself as active so much as lazy and as a result don't perform fieldwork to the fullest of my abilities. However due to the lack of physical movement required to read and write, I perform the tasks to the fullest of my ability, much more than i would ever accomplish in the field. Besides, i would rather read written information than find it out myself due to the fact that i'm somewhat lazy when it comes to that sort of thing. A historian is also the most quiet and humble of the three social scientists. With these reasons, i hope I've shown you why a historian is the job for me!
